At FLIPANY, we’re more than a team – we’re a passionate family, united by a commitment to transforming lives and building a healthier, brighter future for all.
About the Position
The Senior Finance Manager position focuses primarily on revenue and is a key operational leader within the Finance Department, responsible for overseeing billing, claims submission, and revenue tracking across approximately ten (10) diverse funding sources. This includes federal nutrition programs such as the Child Care Food Program and Summer Food (Summer BreakSpot), the Department of Elder Affairs, and local government grants- each with unique reimbursement structures, billing portals, and compliance requirements.
This role supervises the Claims Team and collaborates closely with the Healthy Meals and Public Health Departments, the Grants Officer, and external funders and contract managers. The Senior Finance Manager ensures compliance with all financial guidelines, timely claims submissions, accurate tracking, and the development of program budgets to support the organization’s financial health and grant performance.
Key responsibilities of the role include:

- Budgeting and Forecasting Support- Develop and maintain program budgets aligned with funder requirements and organizational goals. Provide financial insights for forecasting, audits, and reporting, while identifying variances between projected and actuals.
Team Management and Cross-Department Collaboration – Supervise a small team of Claims Associates and serve as a bridge between the Finance Department and Programs to ensure smooth reimbursement processes and a shared understanding of billing protocols.
- Systems and Tools – Maintain accurate, real-time financial data using QuickBooks Online, KickServe, and funder-specific portals like FANS, MIPS, and SAMIS to support claims, reporting, and compliance.
The above is not a job description but describes the general nature and level of work to be performed. Candidates chosen to move forward in the process will be sent a detailed job description prior to a first interview.
