A Message From Executive Service Corps- Florida's CEO

This isn’t just a fundraiser; it’s an endurance challenge with a purpose. “72 for 72” carries a double meaning: 72 miles for a 72nd birthday, raising funds to provide high-level consulting to the Second Chance Society.

To celebrate my 72nd birthday, I’m heading back to the stunning (and steep!) terrain of Park City, Utah, for a “72 for 72” mission. I’ll be tackling 72 miles and over 3,000 feet of elevation to raise support for two organizations doing vital work in our community.

The Mission:

I’m raising funds to support Executive Service Corps – Florida and the Second Chance Society. Specifically, these funds will provide the Second Chance Society with professional leadership development and strategic fundraising strategies to help them grow their impact.

Every mile I pedal and every dollar you donate helps empower leaders and provide second chances to those who need them most. Your generous support for this initiative will be greatly appreciated!

In gratitude,

Joel Greenbaum, President & CEO

The Back Story

At the beginning of February 2026, Executive Service Corps Florida’s CEO, Joel Greenbaum, underwent hip replacement surgery after living with osteoarthritis. Just 16 days later, he was back on his bike.

Within 10 weeks post-surgery, he’d already surpassed 1,000 miles. But this journey started long before surgery. In 2025, Joel rode over 7,600 miles, including a 77-mile ride for his previous fundraiser.

Now, at 72, he’s taking on 72 miles as both a personal milestone and a commitment to something greater. This is more than a ride. It’s a story of resilience.

Why it’s Important

This campaign aims to raise $20,000 to fund leadership support and capacity-building consulting services provided by Executive Service Corps Florida.

These services will help the Second Chance Society strengthen its strategies, improve operations, and expand its impact. This is not just funding programs, it’s building long-term sustainability.
